Wow!!!

OMG Hurdle#2 (The Return)

Made my own route! N left a trail to be followed;)

It's the river bed and the sand is damp, can barely stand on it. The bike with all it's weight was fishtailing, was a tough job. I wish I had a KTM in such situation:
Somehow made it this far:) This Kido got scared from the engine noise:p

Neva'h MESS WITH A 130/80 ZAPPER !!! Loll..

phew!!!

U though it's over?!! Picture toh abhi baaki hai mere dost;) The River Crossing >>
NOTE: Sorry no pics while crossing it, as it was tough and risky, so whole effort was put in the attempt and had no extra hand to cover the event:(

Well.....so you saw the route the hurdles and few of the rewards that this place has to offer, you can decide where you would like to add this in your travel/biking checklist. For me it was scary(trust me after a long time I got the feel!) and beautiful. The place is really one of it's kind...As it's a natural process(decaying/wearing out), am not sure how long it'll be before all the stone structures vanish(smoothened off) because of the river, but as of now it's a place needs to be seen, to be believed:)

Amazing location, but hard to reach. CBZ surprises me, every time I take it out for such rides. Having breakfast now. Will be Moving to Muddati soon:)

OMG hurdle#1 :)

Ah uh...Can I cross this on the bike now?:( Vasu checking the depth of the river:p
I hope the camera equipments will be safe while crossing(fingers crossed)!

parked the bike here

Though it looks quite calm in this pic but I could here the noise of a huge stream of water gushing through, somewhere nearby:)

Vasu is visiting the place after 15 yrs, he was shocked to see the water level has gone so low. Earlier it used to be 10 feet from the location where am standing at the moment:)
Look whom I met there..Mr Cricket:p He is working hard after loosing the disputed winter food lawsuit against Mr Ant....lolll
Holy Christ!!! It wasn't the only one there! Such structures are created by flowing water. There's more ahead. I hadn't seen such a thing before. I am climbing rocks after a long time, it's scary :
I got a chill through my spine when I look down, what if?!.....Glad Vasu knows swimming:p It is a freaky place, something I could expect in "The Descent".

Aaah:) It was worth it:D

Chris Pfeiffer Show, Bangalore

May 6th was the day, Chris rode his well known BMW F800 on Bangalore tarmac, that too with one wheel, as expected;) Despite of the huge crowd and my limited experience with action photography(add to it, the low light condition), I was able to capture few nice shots, which I felt worth sharing. Have a look...

What I Learned: When you don't feel like doing it, just do it!

Hi:),
This is one of the rarest time of the day, when I am making a post. Not that it's an odd hour to do so, but it's kinda unusual for me to sit quite(read being patient, while being at home:p) and write. But as you can see am doing that. Last night I came late from work, with the plans of continuing with it at the earliest possible. Well....came to room, switched on the notebook, was on fb for a while...Until 10:30 didn't realized the delivery guy has forgotten to deliver my dinner. Called up, but was not in a mood to have that, so cancelled it. I know it's nothing to talk about, but thats how it went:p(You can skip this, if your life runs in a similar way!). Got a stuffed chicken roll parceled and a bar of chocolate:) That was my dinner. Then surfed the net till 5:30 in the morning. Yep you read it right, didn't realize it was so late. Finally went to bed with a book. Before I could go beyond the first page, I was down. So what you read so far is the reason why this post is made at this hour of the day:) (not justifying or anything, it's.just.so.!)

So there's a fest in my college(http://www.dayanandasagar.edu/) and am invited by reen, who's managing the event along with other team members. Seeing the guest list( Vishal n Shekhar, Pooja Gandhi n many more. John turned down the offer in the last minute. Gawwsh!!!), it's hard to miss, but my work commitment is on high priority at the moment. I don't think I'll be going today evening. Well there's a power cut(now a days very frequent in Bangalore) and can't think of anything interesting to do at the moment. So picked up my cam and thought of capturing something in the house. These are few pics I took.....

1/8 F5.6 ISO200 34mm

1/2 F3.5 ISO180 18mm

1/2 F3.8 IS100 20mm

1/50 F3.5 ISO125 18mm

1/15 F3.8 ISO100 20mm

Macro 1/60 F5.6 ISO200 40mm
(^this one I had taken earlier, saw it while archiving, so posted)

Well whats special(and common) about these photographs is....all are taken in complete manual mode. This is what I learned today. Yupppeeee:) If I wouldn't have picked up my cam today, I wouldn't have experimented with manual override, wouldn't have known how much creative freedom it provides:)! Glad I did, what I did !!! Definitely I'll be using this new found skill more and more to take good pictures. For your reference I am providing the EXIF(SS,AP,ISO,FL) details.

Cheers!!!!!!

Mumbai - Millions of Identities

Hi Guys/Gurls,
I am on a vacation. It started on 24th March 1815 HRS when I started from office. I have roughly 14 days and my plan is as follows:
Bangalore > Mumbai > Pune > Mumbai > Dhenkanal(Orissa) > Bangalore

The whole time I'll be either on a bus or train, so travelling/commuting itself will be taking some time. Today is 26th March, Friday, I've reached Bombay. Last night after reaching I went online to check my mails and facebook, then spoke with Twinkle(my sis) over the phone for sometime and then dozed off as I was tired. Few photos during my trip from Bangalore to Mumbai...

me:) Got the crew cut done just before leaving.....The Summer Look :p

I like this photograph. You can see the expression of the driver in the front glass.

Colors n Light

My Bus.....First Halt in the morning for breakfast, before Pune..

Saw this prototype being road tested, near Pune. It was from Tata Motors I guess..

Abhi came at around 11, we had dinner together. Apart from roti sabji, one special dish I had, Vada-Pao(Oriya Defn: Vada=Alu Chop+Pao=Bread Piece). It was yum and it's quite famous in Maharashtra. Dinner was quite filling, after that I went to sleep(yeah...again!), before which we caught up on many things, which we used to do n talk about while we were stayin together in bangalore.....finally don't remember when I slept off.

Right now sitting at Abhi's place and writing this post:) Abhi had to go to office(against his wishes I feel) as some urgent work has come up, he'll be back soon. I got up quite late as my body was a bit achy due to the 18 hrs bus ride(mind you a multi axle a/c Volvo may not be as comfy as some of you might be thinking). After a good nap, now am all fresh n ready to roll(alas no bikes in sight:p, hope aunty doesn't get to see this post, as the word "BIKE" might cause an alarm :p). Had a breakfast once I was up, which was almost noon. One thing was on my mind to kick off my Mumbai shoot with some subject. Well.....a couple of cute things were fooling around the house...Yep Cats:) Abhi is a true animal lover, having lived with him for 3 years I could say that....Seeing his love for the our neighbor's cat(Her name was 'Pussy' :p, I told him not to call her by that name, as I wasn't quite comfortable hearing that...lol). There are around 5 kittens(I guess) in this house. Don't ask me their names now, am bad at it(neither I recognize them by face, as they all look the same), except the dark knight(I call him by this name). I already loved the lighting in the house and I was bit clear what I want from the pictures....Soft and Natural Light, mostly window lighting and some good expressions, as cats are quite curious and playful. Being an outsider, it'll be quite a task to capture these without making them conscious(same happens to people during candid photography). Am in the process....I'll keep you all posted through this blog......

the very first photo I took. As you can see, she's hiding behind that wooden chair..

thank god, she didn't move after seeing the camera:)

dark knight:)

Biju, the name of the Kitten.

I will make sure that You be part of this journey... Have a great day n Keep Clicking... :)

Sid
