My New Glass:)

Hey folks,
Long time:)...yeah I've been a bit busy lately with work, day to day chores and getting used to 'English' winter and the associated lethargy:P Well...boring details apart, here is an interesting news. I finally got myself a telephoto zoom glass:).
It's a Sigma 70-300 4-5.6 DG OS with SLD and you bet I got a great deal on this one and thats why I chose to give it a try:) Though am more of a Nikkor person, who also believes that an equipment only performs as good as the person using it;)

DG - Made for digital cameras
OS - Optical Stabilizer
SLD - Special Low Dispersion

Here is what it says on the tin:

"Sigma’s 70-300mm F4-5.6 DG OS is a compact telephoto zoom lens. With a range that is useful for candid portraiture, capturing children playing in the backyard, amateur sports or even wildlife at the zoo this lens is usually the lens that photographers reach for first. I am yet to do a field test of this new equipment, so don't have much to share at this point. But rest assured, more than anybody am looking forward to take this baby out for a spin.

Update: Didn't know it can do Macro:) Cool!! Will try this out soon.
